Hours: Tuesdays,11a-6p and Saturdays,
10a-2p from late May – October. Located within Leila Arboretum at 928 W. Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek, Michigan
Established in 2017, the 365 Urban Farm at Leila Arboretum was developed to grow fresh produce for sale through our Farm Stand located on Michigan Avenue, CSA shares (Community Supported Agriculture) and direct sales to local restaurants. Our goal is not only to provide revenue for the arboretum and to maximize use of our property but also provide a local source of fresh fruits and vegetables to our neighbors. The farm is approximately 1.5 acres and is comprised of a mixture of both indoor and outdoor areas at Leila Arboretum including hoop houses, a greenhouse and several field growing areas. Our farming practices, while not certified organic, are focused on sustainable farming practices that utilize soil management and organic pest and disease control remedies.
The 365 Urban Farm and Farm Stand have sustainably grown vegetables, eggs, herbs, honey, fruit, annuals, perennials, local goods, and more. Our name reminds people that tasty, nutritious food can be grown year-round, right here in Battle Creek! Educational opportunities are available for Hands-On Learning through classes, workshops, and volunteer sessions.
We have a free food pantry and accept WIC, Senior Project Fresh, Project Fresh, and EBT as well as cash, check, and cards. EBT customers can earn Double Up Food Bucks tokens and spend them at the Farm Stand.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm shares are also available to purchase.
